Cliff Hengst is an artist and performer, based in San Francisco. He has a BFA from SFAI and current teaches there in the New Genres department. Hengst’s one-man play, Mr. Akita (written and directed by Asher Hartman) was performed at the Berkeley Art Museum as part of the MATRIX exhibitions. He has exhibited his work at SFMOMA, Minnesota Street Project, San Francisco Arts Commission, and Gallery 16 in San Francisco. Hengst has performed and exhibited at Hauser & Wirth, Machine Project in Los Angeles, and The Tang Museum at Skidmore College in New York, and most recently at the Institute of Contemporary Art, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He is represented by Gallery 16 in San Francisco.
